Great secondhand bookstore, my favourite one in Darwin. There are 4 different rooms within the shop into which different genres are sorted, which I find enjoyable to explore. I am personally a fan of the fantasy and YA rooms. Tight walkways would make this store difficult for a wheelchair or walker to navigate.

Caryota Book Exchange is heaven in Darwin and it happens to be close to where I live! This place is a magical portal for all the book lovers out there. Vast selections from classic, general fiction, history, memoirs, thrillers, art and photography, wildlife, YA, children’s books and so much more. Absolutely fantastic little book store, the kind you dream about finding! Sharon is very hands on and helpful, more than willing to help you find a specific title or browse at your own leisure. Three brightly lit, well labelled rooms of books, all categorised and obviously well maintained both in regards to shelving and condition. There is also a coffee machine that is reasonably priced, and little nooks and crannies to curl up with a book with. The outdoor courtyard is the culmination of this, with tables and chairs scattered comfortably around the place. Books can also be exchanged here for store credit, which lasts up to 6 months. 10/10 the best book store I've come across since leaving home !!
