Australian Red Cross Garren Canberra ACT...10🌟 service For my first time ever with donating blood I can truly say what a wonderful experience!!! Before I tell all about my experience I would like for the viewers of my review to take a minute to think about this below... As we all run around for Christmas spending hundreds of dollars on presents and some people won't appreciate the gifts you give, Stop and think about the free gift you can give in a very short time as you go about your day (your blood) which could save someone's life maybe even a family member! This gift of life will forever be appreciated to the fullest levels to the people in need and they will never forget the kindness of this free gift! To my experience I can say that was the easiest thing i've ever done and I will be back as soon as I'm alond to give this free gift of life again! Lesile was the person in charge of my adventure and what an amazing staff member for the Red Cross to have, from the moment I entered the respect given was near overwhelming as I was a little nervous but that soon past quite quickly! The process was very simple with filling out their questionnaire checking your weigh and taking a seat in the free given gift chair! After your gift has been given the Red Cross give back to you a free gift of a tasty chocolate milk shake, there is other flavors along with party pies sausage rolls + other tasty treats, you can't go wrong it just a free giving session from both sides yourself and the Red Cross! The word free is everywhere with this experience starting with parking your vehicle, toilet facilities available and very clean. Please think about this free gift before you buy something for someone who might not appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thank you to the staff at Red Cross Garren for making my experience a memorable one ❤️
I love their snacking section !! 😆 i never try the milkshake, which everyone said its so good.. but i think i can never try it as i have dairy intolerant 🥲 EDIT : I realised i tried the milkshake once.. it was good but my stomach cant help me finish it..
The friendliest and kindest people in Canberra work here. If you're not already a donor and you've been thinking about it, don't delay and sign up! Extremely clean but ot as clinical as you would expect, very homey atmosphere and super relaxing, in a weird way.
I thoroughly recommend everyone to give blood, for obvious reasons! Parking is no problem The staff at the Blood Bank were thorough, professional and friendly. Wait time is as advertised on the website. Everyone was looked after properly, procedures explained and given plenty of time to rest after giving blood. I will be back in 4 weeks to donate again.
