The only complaint was the product i bought, overall the clothes and other on shelf products seemed in good condition I was very excited when i saw this store had mystery jewellery jars in this store. The lady who makes them was even at the front desk seeming happy that i got one. But when i got home and looked through the jar i found over half of the jewellery had been CUT!! It was very clear that these jewls didnt snap. They were cut and placed gently in so that when opening i pulled the necklaces out and the beads just dropped off. It is upsetting to find something like this in an op shop because you buy 2nd hand jewellery excited to be able to basically reuse them, but the employees ruin that opportunity. Mind u this jewellery came from the shelf “i used jewellery that was on the shelf for a while”. So what am I supposed to think, you somehow accidentally cut the necklaces off of the tags and still think its good to sell. Upsetting. Im all for supporting the thrifting movement, so just a heads up do not get the jewl jars!!!! I mean unless you want a bunch of loose beads.
So overpriced! New clothes can be bought cheaper sometimes. I buy in op shops to reduce waste & recycle - save money. But not at these prices. So sad Red Cross who are there to help feel they can act just like for profit organisations. My donations are now going elsewhere.
Far too expensive unfortunately as they do have good stuff -it’s not worth the price though. Staff are very weird and don’t understand manners and how to behave socially in a normal way. Maybe management you need to consider your prices….
*UPDATED* Going to downgrade this to 1 star. I went to buy a small picture book for my son and when I brought it up to the counter, the attendant saw me standing there but continued to check a mobile phone and then put some things away. When they were done they didn't even bother to look at me and held out their hand for my item and said "can I help you?". I handed them the picture book which they said was 3$. A bit dear for a skinny kids book, so I asked if maybe it was 3$ because it was part of a set. They just looked at me and said "it says 3$....cash or card?". I stood there for a moment and said "umm" as I considered it and again they said "cash or card?!?". I ended up leaving the book there. Really disappointed by how rude the attendant was and how high the prices for everything there was. There was an old wiggles toy priced at 15$?? I won't be donating any of my goods here anymore, they're taking advantage of people's generosity and charging ridiculous amounts for donated items. Prices are a bit high here. 15$ each for well used kids jackets. Once in a while there's a good deal that's priced OK, but I do find it a bit expensive.
Was my first visit today, and was shocked at the high prices. For an op shop I was not expecting prices $10.00 and higher. I looked at a cardigan that was average. It was priced at $20.00. No it was not cashmere, or gold lined, it was a standard long sleeve cardigan. I also looked at the craft items and toys, book etc, all above average pricing. They had a rack out front that was discounted 50% off, but the tag prices were $10.00 or higher, which I would not really consider a bargain. Will not bother going back, and sadly found nothing I would consider buying at the prices listed. Average clothes, above average prices.
