The store was tidy and nice, but unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. I picked up a jacket from the kids' section (size 10 kids) and a few belts. At the cashier, an Asian lady (whose name I didn't get) charged me $8 for the jacket instead of the $4 it was marked. When I asked why, she said she changed her mind about the price and decided to charge the full price for a ladies' top. This was frustrating as I've never experienced this in any other op shop. I ended up canceling the jacket and just bought the belts. It's a shame that prices can be changed arbitrarily. I suggest implementing a clear and consistent pricing policy where items are sold at the marked price. Additionally, staff should be trained to honor the displayed prices to avoid confusion and ensure customer satisfaction. Overall, while this experience was disappointing, I hope the store can improve its pricing practices to provide a better shopping experience for everyone.

Let me start by saying the staff are absolutely lovely, the store is well laid out, neat and clean. However there have been massive price jumps, tops are now $8, dresses up to $10 so the stock sits for months. I see things I saw months and months ago when I make it in. Under the previous pricing tops $4-5, dresses $7 etc stock moved fast and rotated quickly. The previous model was far better, surely better to sell 10 dresses at $7 than one or two at $10 from a profit point of view. Plus it’ll keep stock moving, people in more often. Not just this store but most Sammie’s the racks are completely packed, they can’t move stock with the new pricing. Hopefully this gets reviewed soon and Sammy’s returns to its former glory.

This op shop is clean and organised. Their staff are friendly and inclusive, you can see children sitting on the floor reading or playing with toys. The books are in great condition. The space is ample for moving around and well lit, bright.
