Have you lost your mind?! $20 for a 2nd hand Anko vase which is original $13?! People will simply stop buying from op shops… And you will be the only ones to blame…
For ages now this has been my go to op shop. Can always find something to bring home and the staff are always gorgeous to talk to. Compared to other op shops around Perth, Salvos is priced really well 🫶
Heaps of range and stock. Always nice to know there is somewhere you can drop of pre loved treasures for them to find someone else to appreciate them and to grab a bargain. The volunteers and staff were friendly and there is all sorts of items for sale including; clothes, toys, furniture, crockery, books, white goods and more! Parking was easy too which is handy and you can become a Salvos member to get even more bargains
A great selection of homewares but astoundingly overpriced. I was shocked to see these Johnson Brothers items priced at $120 (from $180!!). I’ve been collecting the Eternal Beau pattern from op shops across Perth and typically pay $2-3 for small plates/bowls and $3-4 for the large ones, if buying individually. Photos are attached of a 26 piece set that I got for $48 at Salvos Rockingham. $120 for 11 pieces at the O’connor store works out to $11 a piece which is just astronomical. The store was full of similarly overpriced crockery sets which is a real shame to see. Hopefully the team will reconsider their approach here.
One of the only op shops I’ve been to recently that had fair and even some bargain prices. It’s like the good old days of op shopping! The only other cheap op shop I’ve found is the Guild Of St Richard (Midland), but that’s a tiny shop and this Salvos is huge. This salvos has several half price racks and a $2 rack with actual good clothes mixed in there. I got this wool and cotton jumper reduced down to TWO dollars. It was originally marked in store as $15. The lovely dress was half price at $5.50 and the cheapy polyester pants were labeled as $3 full price. Unheard of. The lady serving was also absolutely lovely. Highly recommended. Skip all the other op shops in the entire radius.
