Awesome shop. Love the layout. The lady on the counter needs a break very rude. I work retail would never talk to customers like that. Edit: so I just my donation out of the car and the other staff member was very rude too. I hadn’t been to the store before. I had no idea I needed to drive around the back. Anyhow I won’t donate there again. It was a bunch of priced kids clothes from a market rack. Anyhow what a shame.
No one feels good about writting a negative review about a charity shop. This Vinnie's at North Lakes is massively overrated. The staff are extremely condescending and rude. I found several items I was quite excited about but in the end - didn’t want to spend another moment in this store. I was told off for having too many items to try on, so I left my basket outside the change room. I was told off for leaving my basket outside the change room. I was told off for leaving “vintage items on the floor with disregard” I had actually left these items on the chair in the change room. I expressed to the woman at the counter that I wasn't sure where else to put the items as I had looked for a returns rack. She pointed one out - when I had originally looked this rack was full and didn’t look to be returns. She walked away in the middle of scanning my order, and when she walked back proudly told her colleague that she had given me a speaking to…. At this point I told them both that they had made the experience really uncomfortable and that I wouldn’t be spending my money at the store. “Alright if that’s how you feel, off you pop!” Are you kidding me!????? I’m a recently single mother and was stoked to have found a few items of clothing that made me feel really nice. I’m a prolific op shopper and have never had an experience like this before. I’m actually on a first name basis with the workers at several of the shops I frequent. I was filming a TikTok too but won’t bother posting. I’ll be making a donation to lifeline today - but I won’t be back to this store.
Don't often find much at this one. All the coolest vintage stuff isn't actually for sale and is used to display "vintage" stuff that really just belongs on the regular racks. Regular racks have stuff that has been there for ages, same stuff every time we go, nothing much interesting and mostly worn out or daggy, and not a lot of kid's stuff that isn't just rubbish. Workers are really lovely but we never come away with anything.
this place is so beautiful. the decor and interior just so nice, specially the book area. i check out some items with me.so many good things in affordable price
Nice book display. The books are reasonably priced. Lots of vintage items but they are pricey. I find the clothes prices are more expensive than other op shops. Hey also sell brand new home decors.
