I used to be a weekly shopper to this op shop and was my favourite. But about 6-12 months ago the prices started to skyrocket! A preloved Zara tee priced at $30, preloved Anko backpack was $22 and even designerslike Camilla & Marc pants priced at $79. Outrageous and no longer affordable. It’s sad these op shops get greedy.
Another very friendly volunteer here! Perhaps management has spoken to the staff about their attitudes and greetings because I found this lady to be well above par. Said a genuine hello and when I was perhaps looking a little lost, she asked if I needed help. I said i was looking for the curtains for sale, and she was nice about the whole thing. There weren’t any curtains. Nice lay out to the store but I didn’t find anything I wanted.
pricing for most clothing is over the top, yes an item might be 'designer' but the purpose of op Shops was to create an opportunity for those on lower income to access clothing and hopefully some quality items. A label does not define quality either. The books were reasonably priced however, and some knick knacks too. Staff lack basic etiquette, and weren't able to greet us on arrival and instead I got a stare up and down and a turn away. This is a charity store, not Prada. Realign your values and bring your noses down.
Opposite the Mosman Park train station this is one of two excellent op shops almost next door to each other. These are two of my favourite charity shops as they are easy to get to by train or by car, although parking is limited. There is some street parking and a small carpark behind the group is shops, although I am not sure if it is meant for ALL the shop in the row. We were there about 90 minutes and didn't receive any notice so parking there may be allowed. The Fremantle train stops opposite these shops so that may make a better option.
Top spot for quirky stuff to wear. Shop front entrance off Stirling Highway... you can look at stuff in their windows. Cool sunnies $2 per pair. Love it, Recommend
