Absolutely charming book store. They have beautiful window paintings of literary characters, a small tea/coffee bar, and a piano if you know how to play. Not to mention some rare books and general books. Very lovely staff.
What an amazing experience. Some beautiful books and some wonderful very old editions. The owner is so welcoming, he made us a tea while we had a look at the old books. It’s those little touches that make a visit to the bookshop special.
We drove almost an hour just to go to this book store and did not regret a second of it. Its selection is sure to please every single type of reader there is. It is incredibly cozy and inviting, and the owner James could not be more kind. I had the privilege of playing their piano, and I was so attentively listened by both James and the beautiful Bailey, the bookshop doggo. Do yourself a favour and stop in to browse, read and lounge around 📚🦮 In addition, James has amazing books to recommend; and I highly encourage you to ask him for his recommendations! You cannot visit Port Douglas without dropping by! ☺️
One of the coolest and most amazing bookshops I've ever been to. It's a must visit if you're in Port Douglas! Such an interesting variety of new and used books all very well priced. Reading is encouraged with lots of little hidden nooks to get cosy and a rare / vintage collection not for sale, but for reading purposes only. The girl working at the bookshop was very helpful and Bailey the security guard out the front was the most vigilant goodest boy. 🐶📖
What a beautiful, surprising and delightful find just off Macrossan. This is not a bookshop, it’s a visual and cultural experience. You’re greeted by the owner and Bailey the Shop Girl, who loves a pat. You’re also greeted with the offer of tea or coffee or cool water. I had tea served in fine china. Who are these people? This place is a labyrinth of second hand and new books, theme rooms, and astonishing murals everywhere. If you like books and are prepared, you could spend days here. I’m keen on WW2 military history and have an extensive collection, but still managed to find something new here. If you’re a book lover or are fascinated by the utterly unique, look this place up.
