I had a disappointing experience at Salvos Forster recently regarding the general manager. I showed interest in an item that hadn’t been priced yet and spoke to the manager about it. I was very friendly and even mentioned that I was in no rush, happy to wait while they figured it out. Despite this, I overheard the manager speaking negatively about me within earshot, which was both hurtful and unprofessional. It’s disheartening to be treated that way, especially when I was polite and respectful the entire time. I’ve always supported op shops and what they stand for, but this experience made me feel judged and unwelcome. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because everyone deserves kindness and respect — especially in a place that’s meant to be community-minded.

Another good op shop in Forster. Large collection of vinyl records. They are displayed on the shelf down below near walkway where customers have to sit down to browse and choose them. It takes a long time for me to choose records as it is not convenient to sit there while careless people walk pass and hit my head with their shopping bags. This is annoying but I can't do anything about it. Records are not a seller but they should be sold quicker if they are displayed in a right place where customers can access easily.
