Very nice staff and found some excellent bargains around this store

Usually a great little go to spot but overheard staff today claiming that other staff who price items for cheap are no good straight after saying “even though we’re volunteering we need to charge more, I’m a former salesperson I know what I’m doing” and the other staff giggling like come on and then saying “people are struggling but we charge more cause come onnnnn” It was finally confirmed that they do it for ego/nostalgia or whatever man what a disappointment.

I grew up going to this Vinnies, and it has been my go-to for more than a decade now and I have made so many memories here growing up. The workers are lovely and will always help you with choosing clothes, checking in on how your life is going and remembering special milestones on your next visit. Coming to Toony Vinnies is my home away from home. Recently, however, I've noticed how expensive everything has become. On my last visit, there was a man speaking to the receptionist on how expensive everything had gotten and how it genuinely isn't affordable in conjunction with other thrift stores, especially important because Vinnies and all thrift stores alike are reserved for people who cannot afford first-hand items. Shortly after, there was a family asking to lower the price (which I know isn't out of the ordinary for thrift stores), however, with these two happening consecutively after each other within my 30-minute visit, it dawned upon me how much this particular Vinnies has changed. I could speak more about this topic, and it is expected to have changed over the years in this economy, but having simple dresses go from $6 a few years ago to an average dress being $15 now, I wonder how affordable thrifting in Toony is. Unfortunately, it's also gotten to the point where I skip past Toony Vinnies and visit Salvos in Seven Hills or even The Restore. I do pop in from time to time to have a gander, but buying is a treat and/or impulsive decision the way it's being run now. If you have a chance to visit on Saturday, the ladies are wonderful and will make even your worst days better by a mile. In love with this place, but I will return when I'm slightly richer, maybe.

Found some good quality women and men's clothing for reasonable prices.

The shop needs more lighting...small shop....needs to keep glass shelves a bit cleaner, not a lot to look at sadly.
