During my daughters stay at Nepean hospital the Ronald Mcdonald cart came around, the volunteers were lovely and it really brightened my daughter's afternoon.

Our family is incredibly grateful for Ronald McDonald House. During one of the most difficult periods of our lives, this place became far more than accommodation — it became a sanctuary. From the moment we arrived, we felt supported, understood, and held. The House is filled with families who are all facing their own battles, and yet there is such a powerful, unspoken connection between everyone there. You don’t need to explain your fear, your exhaustion, or your hope — everyone just gets it. That shared understanding creates a unique and deeply human bond that is hard to put into words. Watching our children find moments of normality and joy alongside other kids going through similar journeys was incredibly moving. As parents, there were moments where the weight of everything felt overwhelming, and being in a place surrounded by compassion made all the difference. The staff and volunteers were kind, respectful, and quietly extraordinary. They create an environment where families can breathe, rest, and feel supported while their world feels upside down. Ronald McDonald House is a place where tears are understood, strength is shared, and hope quietly lives alongside hardship. We will forever be thankful for what this place gave our family during a time we will never forget.

Extremely well set up. The common area has about 6 kitchens for families to cook up food in. Theres also a kitchen staff who makes breakfast lunch and dinners most days. They’re greatly supported by volunteers. Theres several areas to eat or talk with visitors. Sizeable private units with sleeping for families of up to 5. Each unit gets a fridge locker. 5 minutes walk across to the Westmead children's hosp.

Beautiful facility for families. Spent a few days in the hospital and found out about it on the last day through google, booked a day pass and it was a great break for my child from the hospital scene with some decent snacks. Just spent the day and what a difference it made to my kids mood and recovery.

Amazing facility. Everything seemed in excellent condition. Staff were very helpful. Only difficult thing was that children under 12 are not allowed in the kitchen and food storage area which is tricky when you're they're alone with a young child. There's a glassed in child play area right near by but my little one wanted to be close to me.
