A lot of confused people in the reviews with some strange ideas. Retail Op-shops aren't operated to directly assist people in need. They exist to literally fund the charity they represent with the money required to cover the costs to properly assist those in need. Your purchase is a donation. As a paying customer, YOU are the one helping people who are in need. You go to a Salvos store to donate money to FUND assistance. You go to a Salvation Army facility FOR assistance. Everyone loves to share their expert opinion on op-shop prices these days, but instead of devaluing generously donated goods, pop into a Salvation Army (NOT a Salvos store) if you need something for nothing. You are the people they want to help. They will even pay for a social worker to help you get your life together. Salvos stores are raising money to help people like you ♥️
I have always found a bargain here. Great selection of items and well priced. Staff are great, friendly and helpful. Reviews are as individual as the individual but a simple theory I use is; If I don’t feel it’s ‘worth’ the ticketed price, I simply don’t buy it. With the turnover they have, I think they’re doing great. They are my favourite in the area.
it's shameless that donation store become ripped off store to collect money from people who couldn't afford stuffs, shame.
These prices are completely out of touch for an op shop. Charging $20 for a secondhand top defeats the whole purpose of being a budget-friendly economical option. Op shops exist to make clothing accessible, not to mimic retail pricing. It’s unreasonable to mark items up just because they’re from an average brand, especially when stores like Zara are fast fashion and should not be priced above $15 at most. Remember, these clothes are donated for free. If you want to stay true to the mission of an op shop, the pricing model needs serious rethinking.
Such a rediculously vast array of products here. So much fashion, shoes and accessories, furniture, household brick a brack and all, in my opinion, great prices. I've bought a whole outfit from here for $20! They have small bins outside for donations, not sure about parking as I always visit on foot.
