Great small town used (second hand) book store with friendly owner. Fiction mostly downstairs and non fiction and children’s books upstairs.
My favourite bookstore in the South Island — maybe even anywhere. Five stars hardly do this place justice. The shelves hold a wide and varied selection that keeps you browsing for ages. Tim has such a thoughtful presence that makes the store more than just a shop. Each visit left me not only with books but also a sense of quiet uplift. Singapore remembers :)
Ran by such a kind man, who is knowledgeable and you can tell is passionate about his literature. All of my best finds are from here!
