Only place to buy groceries in Cooran. Doubles as a Post Office which is essential to a small community, not only for parcels but also for banking and bill paying.
This community store in the main street has everything. The owner is helpful as are the staff. A great place for travellers (has a PO) and locals. Coffee, meals and a mini super market. Instead of driving through Cooran it's been lovely to stop and take the time to visit the beautiful, quiet, natural reserve (turn off near rail crossing). Also, some interesting little shops and friendly people.
I mainly use the post office services but love the recent changes to the store. It's like a mini supermarket now!
My local, my gosh how lucky am I! I can buy insane local flowers, art, milk, coffee, lunch, local kefir, local bread, local fruit and vege local meat and on Saturday’s and Sunday’s if you’re polite you can do Australia Post! They don’t have that in the big smoke. The customer service is delightful and kind. It’s the heart and hub of our whole community. It warms the cockles that Brad and Elyse support our Tall Trees Festival of art every September, support our local Cooran State School and much more. Pop in for your dose of local country charm, shop local and support a family who supports us all.
Great local Store. Sell a lot of different products including locally grown fruit and veggies. Baked goods oh so yum. Inside is also a Post Office. Staff are amazing. Highly recommend.
