Absolutely wonderful vibes, so bright and cheery and really well priced stock!
Incredibly kind and caring, so supportive and approachable. I walked in and felt at ease and at home. Very neuro-spicy and affirming. Growing up I wish that I had access to something like this, I am so glad to see a safe community space to help everyone, the future looks bright.
Need clothes that fit and are designed for you, yes, neuro spicy, special you. Get down to the Rainbow Rack for bargains galore. The clothes and accessories are inexpensive, and loads of fun. The staff are friendly and don’t push you to buy. Best of all you’re supporting the Trans Gender Swap Shop. Our community need more people like Renea and Charlotte, they’re doing a great job. The Rainbow Rack is a not for profit enterprise, run by volunteers.
Full disclaimer: I’m a volunteer at Ballarat’s Rainbow Rack, but even if I weren’t, my review would remain the same. Growing up as a young person unsure of where I fit in society, and worried about whether I could live at home if I came out, I deeply appreciate having a safe space in town. Rainbow Rack offers not only amazing clothes at ridiculously affordable prices (nothing over $10, with discounts for community members), but also a welcoming environment where I can learn about the community. Renea has done an incredible job creating a welcoming and inclusive store. With a focus on sorting items by size, regularly rotating stock, and having an enthusiastic and supportive volunteer crew, Rainbow Rack is a hidden gem in both the Op Shop world and the LGBTIQA+ community. I wish a place like this had existed when I was younger.
A vital resource for marginalised members of the community. When you have so much hate directed at you for existing, it's nice to have a shop that has your back. They provide free binders for trans and non binary folks who need them and help anyone in need fill out their wardrobe.
