Staff are nice but the prices they charge are criminal! People are DONATING these items for FREE and you are price gouging! Sometimes I see things priced higher than what they cost originally brand new! E.g. there is currently a small white faux fur rug (origin Kmart) priced for $25 and originally they were $18 brand new!! Go figure?! STOP researching the price of items online etc so you can gouge the hell out of people! Life is already expensive as heck as it is and this isn’t encouraging sustainable living when you could go get an item brand new for cheaper. Op shops these days are a disgrace and they excuse their behaviour with assumptions that everyone is going to up-cycle the item and resell it — SO WHAT?! Doesn’t mean you get to be greedy by overpricing everything so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on the pie! I don’t know HOW you could volunteer here, have the audacity to price items like you do and feel like you’re helping everyday Aussies try to save a dollar here and there, and live more sustainably rather than go to Kmart and big W first.
