Well they were very helpful and understanding of what i wanted and they refused to help me out if I need help again because they asked me where my money was going and they told me no
I only moved to Shepparton 4 weeks ago after a couple of hard years and homelessness. I haven't had any real social contact for so long that I decided to have lunch at the local Salvation army . Chris made me feel welcome straight away,he ran 2 fun quizzes and the volunteers cooked a nice apricot chicken and rice Cake and Custard.They all made me feel like am worthy of being happy Thankyou Salvation Army.
After a couple years of being homeless caused a loss in self confidence and social isolation I have a home in Shepparton now.I went to have a meal at Nixon st Shepparton and was very impressed with the beautiful food ,good company and a couple of fun quizzes. Thanks Scott and volunteers for making me feel comfortable and valued. I will be trying to make it a regular Wednesday outing.
Have donated to the Salvos for years and most times they take my clean or washed clothes or new as too small or to big. They do a fantastic job.
