Be prepared to pay $15 for everything, just because the op shop is in Kingscliff doesn’t mean the pieces need to be bumped up….

Popped in today, a lovely little charity shop, but the real highlight was Denise. An ecstatic and bubbly young soul, and a true treasure to the Kingscliff Boardwalk. Her energy made the whole visit.

The overpricing is feral. All commendations in the world for the programs and the support Vinnies gives to our community - however the overpricing is disgusting and cannot be justified. The proceeds go to a good cause which is understood, however the flat rate for every item I picked up was $15 - this means it is not a case of 1 off wrong pricing. And we're talking stained, washed out, terrible shirts from target. Who would sell the same thing new for literally cheaper than this Vinnies. I was immediately put off from spending any money at this store and won't be back. We overheard several other people in the store also taken aback by the prices and who left as swiftly as we did. Terrible execution if your goal is to; 1. promote reusing/selling clothes 2. Make affordable options for those less fortunate 3. Have actual incentive for altruistic average income earners who would like to contribute / donate in return for some good quality clothes. Fails on all accounts. Which is very unfortunate to see a Vinnies store do.

Rude and arrogant staff. Takes a lot for me to write a bad review. Won't be going back.

Great shop with some brilliant buys! But the staff wouldn’t let other people in at 3.45 because they were closing ‘in a minute’ - closing time is 4pm fyi. I understand they are volunteers and have probably been working all day, but given they are making money for such a good cause and charity I find it bizarre that they would turn customers away with sufficient time to look around and shop in store. Surely they could just say we’re closing in 10 minutes or so when people enter the shop in the last 15 minutes?
