Great Op-Shop with lots to see and buy. Very reasonable prices. Lovely staff and very tidy store.
Today I returned a mixer that did not work properly. Had been told when I bought it I could return it but when I got to the counter a particularly unpleasant sour faced woman snatched it away - her only words to me were that "they'd check it in the back room". Waited for some time, another equally unpleasant woman came out explaining that it worked perfectly and all I had to do was flick the switch from one side to the other - of course I had tried that any number of times. It was only $20 and I didn't really care about the money but I certainly cared about firstly being barely spoken to and secondly spoken to as if I were a simpleton who after 60 years of using mixers didn't have any idea of whether they worked properly or not. Other women on other days have always been very nice, these to were horrid. Won't be back.
Just dropped off some nearly new clothes here for donations. The lady was incredibly rude and ungrateful as if I was inconveniencing her. Don't know why I bother, next time I'll just chuck them in the bin.
Save The Children is my favourite Op Shop because of the quality of second hand goods they are selling at a reasonable price. The shop is clean and well organised. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful and most of all it looks after the welfare of needy children all over the world.
