Yesterdays Mitchelton is one of Brisbane's best op shops, the stock is varied & well priced with frequent mark downs & a small collection of freebies outside the door. The shop is spacious, very clean and well organised. The staff are fantastically helpful and always friendly. A quick call out of thanks to a lovely young man who helped me get a heavy and free item into my car when I was last there. Thank you Yesterdays is doing a lot right for op shopping customers. 👌🙂
I visited this thrift shop today and was honestly shocked. Right at the entrance, an older woman (appeared to be staff) was standing beside the clothing racks smoking cigarettes, with two other staff members casually chatting with her like it was perfectly acceptable. The smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming—even before stepping inside. As someone who might bring a child along, this is absolutely unacceptable. No customer should have to walk through a cloud of smoke to access a store, let alone around racks of clothing meant to be sold. It’s unhygienic, foul, and incredibly off-putting. I’ve attached photos for reference. Please address this issue immediately—staff smoking at the entrance not only damages your store’s reputation, but also risks the health of your customers and the quality of your stock.
By far my fav op shop. Very well kept and not dusty like others, no loud music and quiet spacious. One of the only op shops around where you can get stuff that is actually cheap, which I appreciate. Good hours and lots of cute trinkets. I always donate my old clothes here too as I know they will get some love and be sold for a reasonable price. Keep doing what your doing!
This op shop has the best prices and usually such lovely staff. Unfortunately today there was a horrible volunteer on a power trip, complaining loudly about various things and gave me a lecture about how I can’t leave stuff at the counter while I continue to look. I had my 1 year old with me so I couldn’t carry him and the basket. She really put a bad taste in my mouth and I feel sorry for the other staff who are always so lovely.
One of my favorite organisations raising funds for ' The Developing Foundation'. These funds go towards therapies, equipment and aids for people with brain injuries or developmental disabilities. Beautiful spacious store on Blackwood Street accessible with parking at the back. It's high end with quality stock, well sorted and categorized. A boutique style shopping experience with fantastic clothing, assessories and books. Not much in the way of collectibles, this is not a furniture opshop but homewares galore. There is also a donations bay at the back so that you can drive up and unload. Please don't donate broken dirty stuff. So much stock ends up in waste and can't be sold because people donate rubbish! Please support the wonderful volunteers and this important cause!👏🏼🙏🏼
