About this shop
Waihemo Wastebusters is Palmerston’s practical mix of reuse shop and resource-recovery centre. The shop gives good-quality household items another round of use, making it worth checking for everyday pieces before buying new. Alongside the second-hand browse, the site takes sorted paper, cardboard, glass, cans, metals and selected plastics, with additional recovery streams including e-waste and batteries. It suits shoppers who enjoy useful, no-frills finds and want their visit to support a wider local effort to keep materials in circulation.
