I love supporting local businesses and have visited this store regularly with my three children. I’ve always appreciated the genuine op shop pricing and have enjoyed chatting with the staff over the years, including after their recent break-in. Unfortunately, I have often felt unwelcome when entering the store, receiving looks that suggest I shouldn’t be there. As soon as I walked into the store (even with my 2year old), a staff member commented that the smoke shop was next door, implying that I was in the wrong place. As someone who has never smoked and polite who was simply browsing the store as a regular customer, I found this assumption inappropriate and offensive. More broadly, this is not the first time I (or my partner) have felt uncomfortable with comments made by staff about members of the community. I believe it’s important that all customers are welcomed without assumptions or profiling based on appearance.

Definitely worth the drive to check this place out. Prices way lower than the op shop chains. Three big racks of $2 or 50% off clothes out front. Some Manchester. Kids clothes. Nicely laid out, including sorting them by sizes which makes things much faster. Support these small op shops that actually function as charities or they disappear.
