I have purchased battery operated toys from other op shops before and they have been tested and deemed working and safe (with a sticker that says so). I take this Einstein baby piano to the counter and ask the lady if she knows it works. She shrugged and said "i don't know". I said "well has it been tested, because it's useless if it doesn't work?". She was very aloof and basically saying "just give it a try". So I take it home. Needed a screw driver to open it up. The original batteries are in it, with yellow stuff coming out, the whole socket is completely rusted to the point where one of the springs was stuck to the battery and ripped out. It shouldn't matter that it cost me $3. It's a waste of my time to take it away and my child thinking they've got a new toy, but you're playing Russian roulette with your money to see if you've bought something safe that works or something that belongs in the bin. I did purchase a doll house, another toy and a few shirts. They have a nice range of things but I'm just frustrated to have wasted my time and money on something that shouldn't have been put on the shelf in the first place.
Used bedding priced at $15-$25 .. is a Joke. disgusting. who is pricing these FREE donated items in the back rooms of vinnies ?? i remember the days vinnies had EVERYTHING at $2. Fix your prices 🙄🥱
Great prices! I got a large pile of things but the lady at the counter was grumpy despite my attempt to small talk. Very awkward. I understand that it’s voluntary positions but a smile and even some acknowledgement would be nice
Vinnie's team south morang. like to say a huge thank you for accepting me as your volunteer worker, welcoming me aboard like your second family, and not an outsider. I would recommend to others for shopping there even looking into volunteering, appreciate for letting me have the wolves toys, thank you South Morang Vinnie's. 🙏 much appreciated.🙂
