What a find this place is! There’s so much treasure in this shop you could lose yourself for hours. We made the mistake of going when only had an hour but I would have gladly spent several here and will certainly be going back. We ended up with a beautiful gaming table, as well as a rattan basket chest and lovely desk lamp. Rob was extremely helpful and a pleasure to chat with, certainly added to the enjoyment of the hunt. Do yourself a favour and pay Upcycle a visit, just make sure you give yourself enough time to go digging.
I found Upcycle a few weeks ago and have been back twice since. Each visit I have found a new collection of incredible items to add to my apartment. Their stock is constantly changing and is full of unique treasures. They will even deliver for a small fee which is amazing and hard to find. Two of the three times I have been, Rob has been there and has been lovely both times. I have been lucky enough to find amazing art and furniture at Upcycle all three times and will continue to come back to this hidden gem.
This is the second time I have come to Sydney for a trip. Last time I came here by chance, but this time I made a special itinerary. Today when I went there, I happened to see the boss and his dog. The dog was very gentle and liked me very much. I chose a glass cup and a small bottle shaped like a note, both of which were small gifts I wanted to bring back to China for my friends. I also chatted with the boss for a while. He showed me his favorite corner in this store, which was a dressing table with a small statue of a horse on it, and there was a small lamp alone in the upper right corner. This was a corner he designed himself. The other place he liked was a Chinese cabinet. I told him what the three Chinese words on the cabinet meant. We talked a lot. He wished me a pleasant journey and I said I would come again next time.
Wow, who knew places like this existed!! The amount of antique furniture in here was amazing, I hope it’s still around when I have a house to put all the beautiful dark wood and art into!!!
Accompanied a friend who got some lovely teacups. I wasn’t actually looking for anything today but I did fall in love with something I couldn’t take home… the gorgeous Gidget! Got to see how amazingly friendly and caring the staff are too. Hope to be back soon and fall in love with something I can actually take home 🥰
