Supporting sustainable fashion. This Melbourne Fashion Week, our team is joining ATELIER COLLARTS: COLLCEPT, part of the festival's Independent Program, for a weekend dedicated to sustainable, circular fashion at Fractal Gallery. On opening night, we're joining ELK and the Collarts Fashion & Sustainability team for a panel on what it really takes to scale sustainable fashion. On Saturday, our donated clothing, which is slightly faulty beyond simple repair, goes into the Healing Stitch Mending Workshop, where the shirts are transformed into new, wearable pieces at the Creative Wearable Workshop, giving unsold stock a whole new life. Find tickets and the full program here https://loom.ly/wBvyMWQ Every donated shirt and every repaired garment is another step toward a more circular fashion industry. #ThreadTogether #MelbourneFashionWeek #SustainableFashion #CircularFashion #ATELIERCOLLARTS

An amazing charity working hard to support those in need while also helping divert clothes from landfill. A saturday session is 3.5hrs and run the first 2 Saturdays of the month. They also have weekday slots. The team are so kind and friendly. The tunes are pumping. And there are snacks!
To the magnificent Maddy & the versatile Vivienne offering assistance and support to the local disadvantaged community. Appearing at local charity organisations once a month, Maddy & Vivienne fly around in a can with designer brands that department stores would have thrown into otherwise landfill. Maddy hangs the garnets where you are able to pick & choose 4 items (tops, bottoms, workout attire, hats, underwear)
Great charity, and would recommend getting involved if you can and lending a hand. Great day helping out. They seem to have a good corporate volunteer program going so ask your boss to get involved!
Great volunteering activity for kids and the family. We booked in for a 2hr activity through the program, Kids Giving Back. During the 2hrs we learnt about the valuable work Thread Together is doing for the Australian community and helped package brand new clothing to help those affected by the floods in Lismore. It gave my son a new appreciation for giving back to the community and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He asked when he could do it again before we even left! Very worthwhile experience to share with your kids.
Awesome awesome concept and wonderful people! Helping people in need with brand new clothing and saving planet earth from further waste going to landfill! Check out Threadtogether and volunteer if you can - highly reccommend it!
