It is a pleasure to visit the Kinkumber store. There is always a large array of well sorted fabrics and other haberdashery items available. For me perhaps the most enjoyable aspect arises out of a sense of serendipity. Several times, I have searched fruitlessly for a particular haberdashery item in other places, only to discover that what I am looking for is there on display as I walk into the store. It’s a great place to visit for any sewing enthusiast and you can buy heaps of stuff without breaking the bank.
Love going to the shop at Kincumber, its closest to me, everyone is so helpful over there and will help you find that packet of zips or whatever you are after. I always find some lovely material and some Simplicity patterns I like to help me sew. I even bought some crochet and embroidered doilies there at a special sale. And the money you spend there goes to help someone with a disability!
I love shopping at the sewing basket at Kincumber. I never know what wonderful pieces of fabric or wool I will find for my next project. So much to choose from. And very inexpensive. I often find matching thread, zippers or buttons for my projects. I have found just the size crochet hooks I have looked for. There is so much here to choose from. And it's always different. If I ever have sewing/craft items no longer need or want, I can donate back. The ladies who volunteer to run and stock the shelves are all so lovely and helpful as well.
