A great place. They are doing so much noticeable work for the community. I left off 1 star because my bread had an ants 🐜 nest in it & the fruit & vegetables are rotting. How can they serve this to the community? It is free, but that isn't an excuse! I'll give them the star I took off when they STOP ✋️ doing this! The staff in the op shop are fabulous 👌

Haven't been in a while but in 2018 I was lost and alone, while I did attend some personal bettering thing they had on, I attended for a few months. I met a bunch of people, I met a guy who wore sunglasses the first day we met and a lady called Judy, about 60 ish Y/O or something. Recently divorced and hurt and broken. While attending this event, Judy mentioned to the guys there that she could become a counsellor. They openly mocked her, I came to ask for something different after a long while and they told me something like "did she tell you she is a counsellor" they both laughed out loud. While I respect that to get to certain places you need to work hard. I don't believe they offered correct support. At the time I was very lost too. After nagging them they finally said yes to me doing a counselling session and I went in, fifteen minutes in and the lady said she couldn't help. And I believe that too. Being paid to do Gods work, your not doing God's work you are doing a whole as counseling course and degree in sociology to tell someone that they will never succeed in life. This stuck with me for years. These days I am still working on myself personally and am doing 8x better BUT I realise some people are in the wrong profession and need to give up their day jobs and go back to school. "Oh I've got 20 years experience" while there is much weight on that statement... I have also come to the conclusion that even a 20 year Christian still can backslide and start despising everyone and act out of the flesh. Even start abusing people any which way. "In a Christian" how is your marriage and family life, how is your relationship with your children. You come to work everyday and treat people like you did. Thank God the bold guy saw through my grandiosity and delusions from mental illness and prayed for me because I was mentally ill from the break up of mum and dad and the bad relationship that just ended. I am glad he did mock me and make me feel like rubbish otherwise I wouldn't have listened

A place where you can be accepted and not put down by staff or volunteers. A place that helps and continues to help the community with love empathy and compassion. Appreciate the team and volunteers plus all the partnerships that chip in for our community. Highly recommend if you need help or to be a helper for the community. Hats off to Rockingham salvation army for all there efforts non stop. We appreciate you all.
