But Jony Beck, that's exactly what public holiday means! Consider smaller/volunteer staffed shops & businesses closed, unless they advertise as opened. As a society though, shouldn't we be promoting a work/life balance? A public holiday doesn't mean shopping day, and businesses shouldn't feel pressure to open because surely our society can cope with a day here and there where we don't go shopping. Kids don't have school, parents or grandparents need to supervise them. Family time. I get that you would have been extremely annoyed at driving a long way to find the shop shut. Op shop hrs, when looked up on Google, will have 5 different closing times and nobody seems to know who is completing the information, so it's notoriously unreliable, especially on a Public holiday. My point is it's not fair to 1 star this little place, when really it's cos you live a long way away and your online research and common sense failed. I've only visited this op shop 3 times in the past 10yrs, so have no relationship to it or any of the staff.
