Rude and obnoxious older woman wearing bright red lipstick wouldn’t open the shop at 10am stating her volunteers were running late today. When the volunteers arrived the rude woman locked the door after they entered, telling several waiting customers including myself that everyone would just have to wait!!! One lady had been waiting 20 minutes to purchase a small table in the window with $25 label on it. When the rude woman worker finally opened the door, the woman wanting the table explained she was only wanting the table. Immediately she was told that the table is not priced correctly!!! Several of us standing outside, waiting to enter the shop were appalled with the mannerisms of this rude Opp Shop worker. She was obviously in control of the Shop. Finally she decided to let the woman wanting the table to come inside ALONE, to discus the table. This rude shop worker put her hand up to the rest of us who were still waiting to enter and she said “No, I am only letting in this woman to discuss the table. Everyone else has to wait”. Then she locked the door again. We later saw a volunteer move to the inside window and remove the $25 price label on the table. Finally after waiting 25 minutes outside, the door was unlocked and everyone waiting to come inside was permitted to enter the shop. What appallingly treatment we endured by this rude red lipstick woman who really should be removed permanently from working there. Extremely disgusting & disrespectful behaviour.
The Lorne Op Shop was great to pop into. In the main road, featuring prominently with the up-market clothing stores, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs! Thank you.
This place is so neat specially the books section, they separet based on the genre and they have the staff pick as well. worth to visit and who knows you would find a treasure here :)
A great traditional op shop, NOT in the style of the colour coordinated brands. There is plenty of clothes, plus both bric and brac. The staff are wonderful, polite, professional, and helpful, and friendly. Definitely worth visiting either as a local, or if you're passing through 👍😄
The Lorne Op Shop98 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne VIC 3232 I've been here early in February 2022, at first I was curious about what was inside the shop. And as soon as I enter the shop. I fall in love with the items they have and it's so affordable, I met lovely saleswomen here. They were very helpful and friendly, especially Karen (who had a hand injury) and Sue. Not to mention I came here three times because of Sue and Karen's friendly attitude. And I am definitely looking forward to visiting Lorne Op Shop again. I highly recommend The Lorne Op shop to my friends and because of your warm welcome to a tourist like me, I will give you five stars. So far everything went well. I would like to thank your friendly staff.
