I found this to be a disappointing stop on the blue mountains book trail. It didn’t have a huge variety of books in the new bookstore and in the second hand store opposite the staff were too busy talking about their “problems” and ex boss to greet the customers. One of my least favourite stops on the trail so far. It did have some good books about the blue mountains if that is something you’re looking for and as a pianist I appreciated their sign on their piano.
Always worth a visit, The Little Lost Bookshop is a a genie bottle gem tucked away in Ha’penny Lane off Katoomba Street. A carefully curated mix of new & secondhand books, and all types of games. A special mention to Karl, the owner, who somehow seems to have a hand in a million things at once — always building community, championing good books, and making interesting things happen in the lane, or with events at The Little Lost Bookshop. His story has now continued across the laneway with The Wandering Bookseller, offering “Hand-picked books for Christians and curious agnostics.” The Global Book Crawl 2026 was the perfect excuse to follow the Blue Mountains Bookshop Trail and explore a few Blue Mountains villages along the way. #GlobalBookCrawl
Great little bookstore in the Blue Mountains, with a fantastic kids section across the way. Very friendly staff and helpful too. Loved the games on offer and even gave us a little duck for free with our purchase. Highly recommend a visit if in the area. Always good to support independent bookstores.
It’s a cute little shop just around the corner of an alleyway. The second handed selection was ok, not the best but alright. The board games selection was good. However, $22.99 for a “Hunger Games” book is a little bit too much.
It’s a cute shop just around the corner of Katoomba. They sell new and 2nd hand books, the price actually good. The owner is friendly and trying to engage you in conversation. They also sell games related like One Piece booster pack and my bf very happy about it 😂 overall a lovely bookshop to visit
