If you come here be prepared for spending lots of time fossicking for old gems you never knew you needed. The quiet polite group of people who were also treasure hunting at the same time as I was were happy to let me step around them. As the place is packed with lots of books shelves with just enough space for people to move around the shelves. The pre ww2 era London tram and road map book I picked up, is one of the gems that I found and will make writing period accurate fiction much easier.

Well wasn't this an experience! Such a gorgeous store that will have you buying something you never expected. I came based off of a recommendation and was not disappointed, even if you don't read you should pop in to look at all of the interesting figures, pictures and books, you'll also most likely find the perfect gift for someone. I came in for a musical biography (great section, nabbed Pete Townshend) and ended up also getting a coffee table book on Kidman as a gift. Michelle's the owner is great, she'll look after you. P.s. I would have added more photos but you should see this place yourself!

A small but thoughtfully laid-out bookstore that makes excellent use of its space, offering a surprisingly wide selection of books. I was especially impressed by the presence of some rare leather-bound editions, which added a real sense of character to the place. While there weren’t many history books that caught my eye, I did come across a couple of philosophical works that genuinely stirred my curiosity. I’m looking forward to diving into them and discovering the hidden gems they hold.

An absolute treasure. Like walking into a dark academia novel, this orgeous shop is just brimming with beautiful books, beloved classics and intriguing curios. Every time I've asked for something particular, no matter how obscure, it somehow just happens to be there. If you are anywhere near Ballarat, do not miss the chance to explore this sacred grove of literature and learning.

Michelle was helpful and kind while I was happily browsing the wide range of this second hand book shop. I ended up purchasing tons of old but wonderful books. Her books and prining collection were amazing. I felt like walking back in time because of the Victorian inspired decoration. I was so happy to see new local business doing well during the pandemic. If you wanted to see and enjoy the charm of the book shop itself and the owner. Come here you won't regret. Also, don't forget to say hello to Brian, a lovely dog inside the shop. I went there again. Michelle has expanded her range of books, photos, old stuff and other things you will never need them but you would buy them.
