I was told to go visit the Junkyard they have everything . I visited and was blown away by the amount of stuff and variety of stuff all in one place , on several acres of land in sheds and just sitting around . There is everything from gargoyles to kitchen sinks and everything in between , there are old typewriters and sewing machines and lantern and bottles and furniture and signs .
One of a kind outdoor space where you can find all sorts of junks such as pots and pans, garden statues, old furnitures, old signs, clothes, homewares, books, doors, electricals, wood pieces etc. Prices are reasonable. Good place for people who enjoy restoring furnitures. There are a lot of junks that can be turned into unique items. There are some collectible vintage books. However after floods, lots of items are sadly disappeared. Stuffs are mostly displayed outdoors. There are a few cottages that you can browse under the roof. Most of the area is pretty run down. Dusty furnitures, books, clothes, homewares and bric a bracs create the vibe of the old haunted house. If going there on a rainy or very hot day, must bring an umbrella. And if you like to buy a train or a bus, ask the owner.
The venue is massive, which takes at least an hour or two to browse all items. Even if you are not planning to buy anything, just walk around can be a unique and great experience of seeing things you don't normally see. I said to the owner " you should change the name to Junk Yard Theme Park", which she agreed. Tips to customers: do measurements of items you want at home before coming here. Therefore you can get exactly what you want within one trip. Tips 2, in the hot summer, it can be hot, as most of the items are outside, without shade. Get a good hat on. I could lose my husband here. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. Great place. Maybe having hot drinks and somewhere to sit, available while the husband walks would be great. Lots of stuff to see.
