I can only speak highly of the Salvos in Grovedale. The shop is always immaculate, the staff is so kind & helpful & the Manager is always so happy & smiling as you enter the store (that is if she is close to the door when you enter). This is my favourite op shop as the clothes are always clean, the books are reasonably priced & there are gems to be found here. 💜💚💞💯

An extra star because it’s clean and bright and does have nice stock, the team are also friendly. I give one star for the pricing model simply because there are actual prices on items. Double, quite literally, the prices of a good opshop. Quite honestly whoever is doing the pricing or responsible for the pricing structure of some of this stuff may possibly be utterly and completely out of touch with reality. $35 shoes for some average brand, $13 jeans for basic stuff. $8 for a cute but not collectible brooch, $4 for a small cylinder of wood and not any kind of special wood, $20 for a vintage jewellery box. Totally cooked (maybe check the team for lead poisoning or black mould in the back room). Some, and I mean a small amount, of the brica brac is reasonable.

Decent enough opshop with ok parking. I am typically not a fan of the Salvos because too many stores pretend to be a real store with bland range and cooked prices, and an uninterresting vibe and decor. That's not the case here because the store still feels like an opshop (and that's a GOOD thing). I didn't scope prices as I could not find any books I needed.

Overpriced, especially runners. $28 for worn out shoes. One has insole with a huge hole in it for $15. Staff are oblivious. Manager obviously is disinterested.
