Salvos Gladesville is a great op-shop with a large range clothing and shoes (mostly for women but a few racks for men), good quality bric-a-brac and a well-ordered book/record/cd room in an old bank vault at the back of the store. The shop is clean, prices are fair and the volunteers are welcoming. It’s my favourite op-shop because I always find something worth buying and I feel like I’m supporting the good work of the Salvos.
Deserves 10 Stars. Best OpShop in Sydney, me and my wife come here at least once a month sometimes every 1-2 weeks, great staff and amazing price, well done Salvos Store in Gladesville.
3.6 - I kept persisting and today, I found they have put in 2 new Donation bins, easily accessible via the Cowell St Council Car park! It also has a sign of what is accepted. This solved my issue, and the staff member I spoke with 2 weeks ago was so happy with my 3 huge bags of donations of new clothes :) Today, I easily put in 2 more bags. Great move to make it easier. **** I walked around to the actual shop, looking for the area to drop donations and also found no signs inside. Eventually, I asked the lady at the counter and she said They are not accepting clothes today as they are too busy and do not have enough hands. I understand that from the staff point of view but then, what happens to those of us who want to help by leaving donations and have deliberately tried to time it so we can drop items off here? Wasted time unfortunately. Perhaps consider having an area for storage until the Volunteers can get to it? Just thoughts...I can imagine it may be harder than the public may know. Thank You.
