I’m writing this review to help new sellers by sharing what I wish I’d known before using the concierge service. Everyone’s experience and objectives will be different but I was told my results were pretty good. I sold 8 items of about 30 over 4 weeks, or about 2 items per week. I had a mix of high-end Michael Kors collection, Ralph Lauren, Pucci and then of course some mid-tier items. No issues were flagged to me with any of my items not being sufficient quality, designer level, etc. After dry cleaning/prep costs, I made about $150 profit but if you continue to renew, you risk losing even that. In my second 2-week booking, I lost money and chose not to renew after that. While everyone’s objectives will be different, I was not doing this to lose money. There are plenty of places in Mosman to donate for resale and not risk losing money. I came home with more than 20 unsold items most of which would need re-cleaned and pressed if I were to wear again as they crammed everything in a small bag at the end. I brought most things in hanging. I received one item which was not mine which I returned and one of my unsold pieces missing. Accidents happen. For concierge service, I expected but did not experience: They would have the expertise to price so items sold but costs were easily covered or if that was not possible, they would be honest and tell you so. They certainly wouldn’t prompt you to renew. They are very prompt at that - automated. They would monitor your sales throughout the booking and make adjustments as needed given their “expertise”. They are also clear on their website that we should respect their decisions, which I did. There were 3 items I was clear I didn’t want to reduce to clear but that was it. I thought I would get more than just “renting a spot”. It would be “set and forget” for me but not “set and forget” for them. I expected someone might check in before the booking ended (maybe a week out) to suggest price reductions, sales or promotions, but that did not happen. There are 50% off sale racks, for example, but I have no idea how that happens. It was not offered even though I paid for “concierge” service. They did acknowledge that the service I received was not what it should have been given Camille was out with her new baby and they would take my feedback on board for future first time sellers. Hopefully my experience and feedback helps others.
I really like the clothes and the prices are good. However, the saleswoman clearly has preferences in how she speaks to customers. I wanted to try on only one dress, but she rudely told me not to touch it because it was on the new rack and needed to be sorted. I apologised instinctively, but the way she said it made me unwelcoming. She was with another customer and she was nice to her instead. Since it was basically my first time in the shop today, it wasn’t clear nor write it on the rack that it shouldn’t be touched. So, I just left.
Extremely rude saleswoman in the store today (long dark curly hair/lilac jumpsuit - the other sales woman was warm and lovely). She spoke to my very polite 13 year old daughter with disdain, huffed and stomped over to the window where I put back the shoes that she had tried on, as apparently one pair ‘didn’t belong there’ and I was ‘supposed to put them back where I got them’ (I truly thought I had). I was also charged a surcharge for a debit card which should not happen as of January 2026. When I queried this she turned and thumped the card machine in front of me stating ‘it’s right there in black and white’, pointing to a tiny white sticker. I quietly told her I thought her demeanour had been quite rude today, and her very loud and aggressive response was ‘tell me when?! When exactly was I rude today?!’ I started to tell her my feedback, to which she cut me off, waved at me and shouted loudly (and passive aggressively) ‘have a great day!’ I also found the pieces quite overpriced for the quality. I don’t think I had ever written a negative review before, but this was an unnecessary and unpleasant sales experience and definitely warranted one . I won’t be shopping here again. Post script: What a shame Camille that your response is to blame the customer. It appears that there was another customer who had the same experience with your staff, and another a short while ago as well. Interestingly you didn’t blame the other two and call them liars. My review just held more honest and brutal detail. I hope this review encourages your staff to give better and kinder service to your future customers. Chastising a customer who had a bad experience with your business is not good business.
I can’t recommend MUSE, Relove in Neutral Bay highly enough. It’s a beautifully curated space and feels like a little treasure chest for finding unique designer pieces. Each visit feels special, as you never know what you might discover. I’ve experienced it both as a customer and as a seller, and the process has been exceptional on both sides. Everything is handled seamlessly and with great care. A special mention to Camille and her team. They are professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely to deal with. Highly recommend. x x
Unfortunately, apparently it occurs that items get stolen despite tags being put on items and a security camera. Not 1 BUT 2 of my best items of course are missing! Camille the owner said they could turn up, i asked if they have a camera for which reply was "yes footage kept for 20days though i'm not going to sit through 20days by 8 hours as its subjective as to whether the goods were stolen??" I have waited 2 & 1/2 weeks IN CASE they reappear but they haven't. The sales people that worked for the owner whilst she was on holiday were less than interested to serve people coming in the shop, when i was there a couple of times i had to tell the sales person excuse me there is someone at the counter! The 2 then sales people are no longer working there, however the lovely Camille is close to having a baby, i wouldn't trust or leave any of my items in the store with other sales people running the shop. I suggest / to just sell your items with half the value and stress in other stores or marketplace 👍 easier to cut your price and expectation as opposed to hassle going through a shop that makes the cut anyways !
