About this shop
Half op shop, half community hub — Beautification Trust's reuse store carries what most op shops can't: tools, garden gear and camping kit alongside the usual racks. Our field note and the Google reviews below keep landing on the same things — properly affordable, well laid out, genuinely lovely staff — and it's the kind of place that's worth the trip in itself.

About the size of a tennis court, run by Beautification Trust — and don't let the recycling-centre setting fool you: this is not a tip shop. The front shop covers clothing, homewares, linen and furniture, and yes, there's electrical. Out the back there's a dedicated area for garden gear, tools, camping and sports stuff, plus some hardware fittings (not much timber).
It's as much community hub as shop: a men's shed that fixes things, a monthly repair café, and a free-stuff area with a Pātaka Kai cupboard and fridge that are always out the front — though the fence closes with the shop, so they're only reachable in opening hours. Staff are super friendly, and they do a lot of community engagement.
For us it's a destination in its own right, with heaps of easy parking.

I’ve been meaning to stop in and check out the store for a while because I love their reels that they make on FB/Insta! And how good! Everything was organized. Easy to find what I was after. And the prices were just easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend stopping in and having a look around. I was very happy with the purchases I made and for the price I got them at.
