Be prepared to spend some time here, this place is huge and fill to the brims, with anything you can think of. I went specifically to buy something I saw the night before on the display windows, and took the opportunity to go around the stories full of vintage goodies. It is not cheap, but if you are after certain item, prices are ok ish (more on the high end), the only thing I thought it was really (like excessively) overpriced was the clothing selection, I mean 48 for a fast fashion brand (sportsgirls)used sweater is a bit too much. Service was great, attendant (is a family run business) made sure to pack my goodies so well, so I didn't had any issues or accidents on my way back to my car, you rarely see this level of service nowadays ♡ I would certainly be back.
Macarthur Arcade – 4/5 Macarthur Arcade is a delightful place for anyone who enjoys uncovering unique and nostalgic items. The variety is impressive, with antiques, old toys, vintage clothing, furniture, jewellery, and even old books. Whether you’re a collector or simply looking for retro decor, quirky outfits, or rare reads, this place has something to offer. Wandering through the store feels like a treasure hunt, though the layout can be a bit cluttered at times, making it slightly overwhelming. However, that adds to the charm—finding hidden gems feels rewarding. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to chat about the items and their history. Overall, I’d give it 4/5. With a bit more organization, it could be even better, but it’s still a fantastic spot for anyone who loves vintage finds and old-world charm.
This store has an interesting variety of antiques and books. I would agree that ot is quite pricey here though.
Great collection of antiques, collectables and books. Spend some time...and don't fall victim to missing something special by 'not seeing the forest for the trees!'
Interesting stuff they had. If you are into retro items and antiques, worth a visit when around town. Not cheap but hey they are antiques, only valued by personal taste. Spend some time and dig something out interesting.
