'boutique' ... Essentially its overpriced mid-range labels, cashing in on the beach front tourist trade. No real 'Op Shop' prices, some clothing close to it's retail price at a DFO, while being used and worn 🤷
My partner and I love going op shopping together whenever we get a rare day off, and today we visited Lifeline Scarness for the first time. We had such a lovely experience. Mary served us and she was just absolutely beautiful, so warm, kind and genuinely lovely to talk to. Customer service like that is honestly so rare these days and she made the whole visit feel really special. We ended up finding some gorgeous little Wedgwood pieces and left feeling so happy with our purchases and the experience overall. We’ll definitely be back.
The rating is for the staff interaction not the products. I expect the staff are tired of people assuming this is a normal charity shop? Maybe altering the signage might change that. As I walked in I smiled at the lady behind the counter but she just glared at me like I shot her dog. I noted that I couldn't see any physical media (blurays, dvd's etc..) and with the same sullen glare she said "this is a women's fashion boutique". I made a joke about it probably isn't a store for me then (male) smiling and she still looked like she wanted to beat me to death as I walked out. Lucky I wasn't looking for something for my partner....
Mary is a lovely lady! There’s high end items in store including evening dresses. Smaller range but all better quality
