Lovely clean hospice shop on the main shopping street in Masterton. Volunteers are all very friendly and helpful. I visited yesterday and they had three racks of amazing true vintage clothing which I had a great time looking through! My only note is that some of the prices are a bit steep - this opshop seems to have hiked up prices over the last few years that I have been visiting. I will say they did have multiple $2 sale racks which is helpful to those on a budget. Thank you Wairarapa Hospice!

I visited this store on February 1 2026 and was very impressed. A well-laid out, thoughtfully-curated selection of items in excellent, scrupulously clean, condition. It was a tasteful and well-presented selection and a peaceful atmosphere in which to shop. I found lovely gifts for family members and thought the pricing was very fair for the quality of items. If you are after a rummage through a haphazard array of thrift items that are priced according to the fact they need a good scrub, this is not the shop for you. If you are after sustainable quality shopping that supports people in need within your community, and are willing to pay a little more for the effort that has already gone in to making the items so presentable for you, then you'll really enjoy shopping here and investing in a great cause. I loved it and will recommend to all!

Lovely clean hospice shop, goods are well organized so it's easy to find what you're looking for. I found the staff members friendly and helpful too. I first shopped here 2 years ago and bought several good quality items. However, I returned today to discover the prices have now hiked up way beyond what I can afford, so have edited my previous review to reflect this. Example: $25 for a very ordinary-looking navy men's short-sleeved shirt. (Rememembering that this shop still sells only second-hand goods!) Yes, they do have some unusual and good quality second hand items as well, such as a men's raw silk jacket for $65. But this model of expensive curation doesn't reflect my excellent experience of other Hospice Shops throughout NZ, which manage to provide good value shopping for average-to-low income buyers while still supporting their local Hospice. Unfortunately, I can't afford to shop here any more. I left today without buying anything. Hopefully the Greytown Hospice has plenty of wealthier supporters!

Well set out with a lot of bric a brac. Higher prices than used to and not many toys or children's books.
