This is our continuous alternative to the standard textile recycling collections which are sent offshore with less than 1% actually recycled. We want to see clothing kept in use in our community. We believe everyone should have access to clothing no matter their circumstances. We also know that textile recycling is not a sustainable solution for our textile excess. Some items you will find outside in our free stock will include: - items out of season - items that need repair - fast fashion - items that may be damaged or slight staining No need to make a purchase, no limits on how much you take. While we can’t do sustainability 100% all the time we always look for opportunities to reuse and repurpose I hate buying new but my son asked for specific Pokémon cards for his birthday. Looking at the waste we had an idea to turn opened packaging into badges! Sustainability doesn’t need to be done perfectly.. every small change you can make adds up
A pile of textiles destined for landfill (cos only 0.3% of textiles sent for recycling actually are!) transformed into something new! Rag mats, purses, bags, tshirt yarn, bookmarks, patches, decorative string, pet toys and more! We don’t have capacity to hand recycling everything.. I LOVE our little shop ✨ So much impact from such a small space.. imagine what we could do with more! ♻️Stock turn over is huge because prices are low! ♻️Items are kept in use by being given away rather than sent for “textile recycling” or being binned. ♻️Profits raised are distributed to local organisations and charities transparently. ♻️Care is taken when processing donations to ensure nothing is wasted! Reasonable prices and range of goods
Possibly my new favourite op shop! So much stuff and all great prices. We love the free rack out the front and always find something special to buy.
Lovely friendly staff and a good selection of clothing. I l9ve that it's all colour sided and there's a legend on the wall telling you what each colour means but nothing is over $12 if I remember correctly. Prices start at $3.
