Frugal Opportunity Shop

This is my favorite op shop ever, the lady is really nice and its always got something for me there, found my favorite shoes there for just $1!! Keep up the good work don't let the haters get you down

$30 for a steamer that looks like its from kmart for $19, $5 each just for a pot lid or a small jar, very cheap plastic unbranded padlock $5, thats crazy. Some stuff is more reasonably priced including free stuff but charging more than new is mental.

I think giving this place one star is being kind. It is the 23rd August Saturday 2025 and this happened around 3:00 pm. My experience was very unpleasant, irritating and upsetting. I stood waiting for what seemed like ages to pay for my one DVD while the staff member, a woman, vaccines the floor. I called out and she came to serve me. I had to pay using my phone because I did not have change. She rolled her eyes at me then told how much she hated it when people bought low prized items. She then proceeded to subject me to a long complaint about how much she hated her job, was really unhappy, did not get paid enough to pay her rent and all the other things, I really resented it as I have my own problems and did not feel that I should have to put up with that as a customer. It was very inappropriate and unprofessional, I wish that I had said that I should get the DVD for free or a reduced price if I was going to have to put up with her crap. She is lucky to have her job. Lots of good people do not. She finished her commentary with “I guess I am having a ?whinge day” well why did she feel the need to subject me to it.

I love everything about this op shop including the cool woman who owns it. Prices are great and I’ve found some real gems in this place. Definitely worth a visit.
