Foothills' Tecoma shop is a bright, uncluttered community op shop with clothing, homewares, kitchenware, books, jewellery and bric-a-brac. Recent shoppers often single out the inexpensive books and media, while clothing prices can sit a little above the very cheapest charity-shop tier. Foothills Community Care took over this long-running local shop in 2024, and sales help fund community meals, delivered casseroles and a connection space for mums across the outer eastern suburbs.

Update - June 2024, my first visit to the new store. Was a bit sad to see the other store go. Despite the issues I encountered with the rudeness of one of the volunteers, I still liked to rummage through the shop. However, the layout of the previous shop was cramped and messy and it was not the easiest place to shop. The new shop has been completely transformed, and it's tidy and much more pleasant to shop there. Books are DVDs are very reasonably priced. Clothes are bit pricey but not as high compared to some of the larger charitable recylers.
This oppie is under new management and totally different to what you remember. You will not be disappointed. Now clean, bright and uncluttered. Filled with treasure at a great price. Do yourself a massive favour and call in. Just under the Salvos in Tecoma. Now Foothills community op shop 😁
A great shop. Well worth visiting. Books mostly $1.00, freebies on shelves outside, lots more inside, warm jackets to buy at great prices. Very friendly and lovely volunteers.
Love a good old-school op shop! This is a wonderful treasure-trove (unlike the more slick place above where all of the bargains have been weeded out) of jumble and excellent finds. The staff are jolly and are eager to help. Great place to spend your money if you care about it going to a non-religious organisation as well.
