A bargain or two was always purchased when I visited Don care Templestowe village. Those days have long gone! Prices increases quite a bit 12 months ago. I don't go as much these days because of the higher prices. However I called in today, only to find the price of goods has increased again. A large jar with screw lid $14, mens goliath jacket $50. (30 dollars cheaper than a brand new one!) I know there are costs associated with running such, and the money goes to good. However everyday people are struggling in this crazy price inflated world also. Op shop shopping seems to be getting pointless due to excessive pricing.
Very disappointing it used to be really good and affordable but now I can buy a stained T-shirt for the same price in Kmart. It’s ridiculous the markup and I’ve also decided to donate elsewhere.
Had a great visit today, served by Maggie. It appears Doncare have taken some of the previous feedback regarding pricing into account. I got a Kmart dress for $2, and kids clothes for $2 each of varying brands, books $1. It was such a positive experience I will be a regular shopper and donor at the store. Thank you!
