Super cool shop! Lots of cute gifts & good range of womens wear & mens!
Edit: A huge thank you to the owner for reaching out to get this issue resolved. I am being issued a refund through international bank transfer. I greatly appreciate the help. Great clothing and understanding staff but I would never shop here again! I went to the store yesterday and was thought it was a lovely small business with some really nice clothes. I found a shirt I really liked and tried it on, it all looked good. I loved it so much I bought it that morning and asked the store assistant if she could please cut the tag so I could wear it out tomorrow (today). I’m travelling and don’t have scissors or anything to do so and as it was a silk shirt I didn’t want to rip out the tag. When I went to wear it this morning I found that there were huge rips in the shirt that I paid $40 (for which for me was a lot of money.) I had not noticed it when I bought it the day before. I went to the store to ask what could be done and they said they can only offer store credit, which for a traveller like me is hard because I don’t know when I will be back (if ever) to NZ to use it. The store assistant was lovely to explain this and offer alternatives but it does leave a sour taste in taste mouth. The tear was not transparent on the tag before purchasing and it was an expensive shirt. I ended up taking the shirt because I just needed to catch a flight home. But maybe something to think about tourists who might end up unintentionally have an experience like this? If there is something else that can be offered that is more realistic. I paid full price for a shirt with a huge tears (looks like someone took scissors to it?) and none there was just no realistic option to help deal with it. Now I’m down $40 and have a shirt I cannot wear.
21st Century living is about not using animal cruelty beauty products. A lot of generic beauty animal cruelty brands are made in factories in Palestine inciting 20x more genocide than Hiroshima. PNSA gave me a booklet stating all brands including Keratase, Palmolive etc. This high quality set of three, cleanser, toner, day face cream are currently sold together $85. 50mls each. My face just absorbs the good quality products, loving the self love that is so important. This Aotea brand sources Kawakawa toner a Maori remedy to soothe, Manuka cream to nourish and cleanse. A more concentrated night cream 60grams Harakeke Cream restores moisturizer overnight so no foundation is needed everyday. Glowing skin that exudes health. I've been applying it twice day to combat harsh New Zealand climate. Too long awaited dual citizenship processing this year at age 51! Better late than never. Never underestimate Maori healing remedies such as this skin care. The staff at Crushes have glowing healthy skin in youth and a lot of products here support local economy.
When a bracelet I bought was missed in the wrapping the staff had no hesitation going to some effort to refund my money via an international transfer. A lovely shop with some really unusual stock. Would recommend a browse!
The cutest little shop with lovely staff! Such a good place to buy some NZ made souvenirs to bring back home to Aus. Truly the best of the underground ⭐️🩷
