This book shop has a massive collection (across an old house) with a compactus in the back. The aisles are generally not too cramped, but there are steps in the back, so probably not very wheelchair accessible (you might be able to go through the back). All the books are super cheap and the volunteer staff are so friendly. There are also free books out front. This is definitely worth the trip to Buninyong!
Lions’ Bookshop Buninyong is a delightful little. second-hand bookstore that truly deserves five stars for every book lover’s visit. Located in a charming cottage on 406 Warrenheip Street, it’s run by the local Lions Club and has that wonderful community-focused feel every time you step inside. The shop is well stocked with a wide range of second-hand books, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s titles, travel, biographies and more, so there’s something for every reader and interest. You can often find great reads at very reasonable prices, especially compared to new book prices, making it easy to pick up more than one treasure to take home. The vibe inside is relaxed and inviting, and it’s lovely knowing that your purchase isn’t just a great bargain, it also helps support the local Lions Club’s community initiatives. Volunteers are friendly and happy to chat or offer suggestions, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Great bookshop, lots of range and very cheap. Free books out the front. They also take donations.
Huge book shop ably run by knowledgeable locals. There's a free section out front. Beyond that, fiction titles are $3, kids books are $1 and non fiction are as priced. The number of books is quite overwhelming so be prepared to spend time finding something special. Look out for the quarterly book sales to grab a bargain.
This non-profit second hand book shop is not far away from the park. It is a little home where is used to be a cake shop. It is a local shop for our community and all the books are from purely donation. Therefore, your each purchase of some books here will not hurt your wallet. Please keep coming to this little shop. Also, it is a good start for ypur private library. The volunteers are absolutely amazing.
