The Global Book Crawl 2026 was the perfect excuse to follow the Blue Mountains Bookshop Trail and explore a few Blue Mountains villages along the way. I started in Glenbrook, right at the base of the mountains, with my first stop at the brilliant Blue Dragon Books. Open since 2008, it’s a quality secondhand bookshop with beautifully curated shelves and an incredibly knowledgeable team. They’ve now expanded across the arcade too with Blue Mountain Books, which includes a range of collectible and rare finds.

Every booklover’s dream! Blue Dragon Books is a beautiful secondhand bookstore with shelves stacked to the brim, but unlike others I’ve been to before, the stock that they have is very well organised and easy to browse through. The staff are also really lovely and helpful, and there’s a number of great cafes in the surrounds for a coffee or bite to eat before or after. I recommend, and I can’t wait to go back!

An absolutely fabulous gold mine of top quality books across a wide range of topics. Many hardbacks in excellent condition, at very competitive prices. Welcoming shop staff willing to help you find the books you'll like to have. One of the better small second-hand bookshops that I've seen in recent years.
