i could not possibly rave enough about this place. such lovely staff and owner always super keen to help. a good range of books, often dvds and cds as well.
Excellent range of books and very reasonable prices. The customer service is top-notch, very pleasant to deal with over the phone and speedy delivery - ours came 2 days before the due date.
Such a welcoming shop. As you enter the threshold there is a lovely, smiling face saying "hello", welcoming you inside (puts one at ease if they have anxiety issues as I do and I now feel this as one of my "safe places" to go). Sandra is always up for a bit of a chat, which is so lovely in today's "hurry up" climate. "Mum", (Esther), and Lesley are super helpful and lovely as is Peter, the "handyman" lol. A super friendly, bright atmosphere draws you to the shelves, which are extremely well sorted, making it so easy to find what you are after, alphabetised works fine for me. Such a huge variety of Authors and Genres to please everyone. There is no rush or push to get you to hurry and buy, browsing is encouraged. I've been here a few times now and I know that there will be so many more visits (even my Mr, who's not a reader, likes visiting). If the book you want isn't here, Sandra will endeavour to help and try to find it for you. This is now my bookshop of choice..
Such a hidden gem! It was my first time visiting the Second Hand Bookshop today and I think I might just be visiting every few weekends from now on! I was greeted by Sandra who was so lovely and gave me a mini-tour of her wonderful bookshop. Everything in the fiction section was alphabetized beautifully and it was very easy to find some books I have had on my to-buy list for a while now. Sandra even took down the name of a book I have sought for a while now and stated she would alert me if she comes by one in her stock - amazing customer service, honestly!
