I am an op shop addict. St Marys Anglicare is one of my favourite ones. I know the pricing all over Sydney because I go everywhere ahaha. Their pricing is the best one of all the Anglicare I visit. Their staff is absolutely amazing. I got to witness their hospitality when a homeless person walked in and asked for help and supplies. The store has very good ambience and I love the music they play.
It is organised, well presented but the prices are on the high end, you really have to rummage to find an "affordable" item. Examples are $12 for a neck scarf or $20 for a pashmina (not new, branded or near new) I think is out of proportion for an OP Shop, they need to understand their market and that is not affordable or feasible for regular op shoppers. This especially when there is a magnificent OP shop/boutique across the road with branded items in near new condition for a fraction of the price (mostly $10-$15 a piece). Certainly pricey for 2nd hand items and their demographic location
Ladies are always so helpful in this store and nice to have a quick chat with while they’re ringing up my items. I find good basics here like plaid workman jackets, work pants, skirts and sometimes denim overalls and old handbags. Recommend.
