This is not the best place for great savings at all. You can see The price is based on internet so many of the items are very overpriced considering they receive their goods as donations . There is no charitable attitude regarding price reductions. Unfortunate i am not impressed because of the prices.
Staff are always so helpful and welcoming and there’s a fantastic selection of second hand items (some seem brand new). l always walk out with a new toy, book or piece of cookware. Definitely worth checking out and supporting your local charity!
I'm a Dee Why local, and often pop into the Dee Why Anglicare op shop, sometimes to shop and sometimes to just have a chat. Not only is the shop beautifully laid out and coordinated, but the stock itself is treated with respect; clothes are always on hangers, shoes are always neat, displays are incredibly eye catching and the children's toy section, well that is just a delight! But there is something else that really makes this store stand out, its the palpable sense of community that I feel whenever I visit. This is more than an 'op shop', this is a community hub where people can come to experience something different; a sense of support and togetherness, which as a single woman living alone, I don't have. I love visiting op shops, however this Anglicare store in Dee Why, by far, has the most welcoming vibe, is clearly loved by the locals, and always lifts my spirit. Thank you Anglicare, and to the wonderful Dee Why store manager I can only say, 'You're a gem!'. Michele (aka op shop lover)
I just donated a large bags of washed , clean & good quality clothing & kitchen items, bowls, platter plate . I found staff was very pleasant and happy to receive items even though it wasn't official drop off donation day ( they have more staff on these days to help sort & price).
Decent range of items (lots of clothes, some bric-a-bracs, some crafts stuff) at amazing, affordable prices! There’s even a community pantry here. And the staff, Zak, was the friendliest guy ever!
