Amazing staff understanding of situations and friendly items priced ok

Popped in randomly today and it was good to see such a gorgeous, community spirited op shop. The staff there were friendly and going above and beyond to help their customers. Well done :)

First phone call to help get some assistance from vinnies was very quick they were very understanding, the referral team were absolutely lovely especially mike went above and beyond with help for my sister, it's amazing to have such kind and compassionate people in the community to help those in need , keep up the good work guys

Visited on Christmas Eve 2021. I had lovely staff open the door for me on the way in and out. I met the specialist "Toys Lady: all decked out in uniform. Her enthusiasm was total and infectious. I had uplifting experiences with all the staff. It's rare to meet such wonderful people.Thank you Vinnies Bakersfield.

Such lovely staff but since going under new management this place has gotten real pricey and for second hand items, they are definitely not worth what they are charging. Especially seeing as you can pick up brand new clothes from kmart or big W and pay anywhere down to just $1 for a single shirt when vinnie's are charging anywhere up to $30 for a single shirt. It's a big let down to see an Aussie favourite charity shop not being so charitable anymore. I feel like Vinnie's could really benefit from dropping their prices drastically and having innovation to make vinnie's stand out from the crowd. It would be nice to see the lucky dip bags make a come back. These were around a few years ago. Vinnie's handed out bags of clothes that weren't selling especially after the season change over. The bags each sold for $5 and were quite popular with locals. Another idea I will suggest is putting together hampers with various items such as cushions, decorations and movies for family's and sell them off as raffles to help raise money for the Saint Vincent De Pauls Charity.
